Meet your Hosts

Welcome Home

Fernanda-

Born in Brazil and raised across five countries, I developed an appreciation for travel, culture, and human connection. My studies in International Business and Hotel Management led me to a career in Human Resources, hospitality, and retreat leadership.

Motherhood opened a new chapter as balanced raising my children with a life of constant movement around the world. Along the way, I began a deep personal exploration of holistic and alternative therapies, energy work, plant medicine, and sacred ancestral traditions. These experiences reshaped my understanding of wellbeing and inspired a commitment to living consciously and in alignment with my true purpose.

I am one of the co-founders of Centro Terra Viva, a holistic therapy center in Brazil, and the creator of the Conscious Wellbeing Method, a transformational mentorship program that helps individuals reconnect with their essence and realign with their path.

Today, I work as a Holistic Coach, Akashic Records Practitioner, Sound & Vibration Facilitator, and Energy Healing Practitioner, weaving together ancient wisdom and modern healing to restore balance, awaken inner truth, and support profound personal transformation.

Liz-

I am a physician by training and after dedicating 29 years to a fulfilling career in corporate pharmaceutical research, I decided in February 2025 to leave my position and the corporate world. While I was passionate about my work, the cumulative stress had begun to negatively impact my wellbeing. Recognizing the need for self-care, I understood that a break was essential and made the decision to take time off to restore and think about what I wanted to do next.

My interest in “cognitive labor”—the unseen work that often falls to women—has shaped our idea for a retreat where women can break free from exhaustion. I’m also passionate about sharing the culture, Native American healing traditions, cuisine, and stunning nature of Zihuatanejo, Mexico through immersive experiences for women.

The Story of YEZ

Two women in white dresses lying on the sand at the beach near the water, with the letters 'LZ' written in large sand dunes beside them.

YEZ was born from our shared desire to create a sanctuary where women can step away from the weight of daily life. We believe that taking this necessary pause is one of the most effective ways to break from the cycle of exhaustion. Both of us reached turning points —seeking renewal, meaning, and balance — and found this in Zihuatanejo, the land of women — the perfect place to heal and reconnect. Here, we invite you to pause, breathe, and experience the joy of remembering who you are, a true act of self-care. YEZ was born from a shared longing — two women at different crossroads in life, both feeling the weight of responsibilities, the pull of new possibilities, and the need for deeper renewal.

“A sanctuary by the sea where women can release the weight they carry and return to the rhythm of their own souls.”

Why Zihuantanejo?

Discover Zihua’s Magic

Zihuatanejo’s name comes from the Nahuatl word Cihuatlan, meaning “land of women.” According to legend, this was once a sanctuary for priestesses, healers, and seekers — women who came to the sea to restore their strength.

Protected by a goddess of the ocean, this land was blessed with abundance, marine life, and deep spiritual energy. The Sea Turtle — a symbol of grace, strength, and ancient wisdom — swim these waters.

The shape of this land itself resembles this marine creature, who, like women, carries the world on its back. The sea turtle lives between worlds—land and sea—just as women move between the worlds of work and motherhood, duty and desire.

Here, women feel held — by the sea, the Earth, and the spirit of this land.
